We give you all the specific resources you need to find solutions.
Our staff has a vast amount of knowledge about services, programs, resources, assistance, activities, agencies, organizations and businesses available in our four-county (Cabarrus, Gaston, Mecklenburg and Union) area.
Whether you call or email, we will tell you about them. If we don’t know the answer right away, we may have to take some time to research, but we will do it and call you back.
If we refer you to another group that is supposed to help you, we hope you will let us know if they don’t do what we said. We will proceed to find you another place to call and will find out why the group did not help.
We will provide information to anyone from anywhere. However, if a friend, family member, or social worker calls for a person with a disability, we will not call the individual. We believe in independent living, and many times the first step to independence is picking up the phone and asking questions. We are accessible, patient, and experienced, so we encourage people to call for themselves.
